Karachi (Staff Reporter) Minister of Local Government, Housing Town Planning and Public Health Engineering Sindh Saeed Ghani has said that Malir Expressway is a wonderful project for the people of Karachi. Quaidabad on August 14, while this expressway will be opened for public till Kathor by June next year. The obstruction in the Karimabad underpass should be removed immediately and completed to save the public from inconvenience. He expressed these views while visiting Korangi Causeway and Malir Expressway on Wednesday. On this occasion, General Secretary of People’s Party Sindh Syed Waqar Mehdi, Member of Sindh Assembly Farooq Awan, Chairman Korangi Town Muhammad Naeem Sheikh, President of People’s Party Korangi District Javed Sheikh, Jani Memon, Mega Project Director Tariq Mughal, PD of Malir Expressway. Niaz Soomro and others were also present with him. Saeed Ghani reviewed the ongoing work on Korangi Causeway and sought details from the concerned officers. The provincial minister was informed that the work of Korangi Causeway is going on fast, but due to some reasons in its map, the work has been stopped, but the work will be started in the next few days. The provincial minister gave instructions that this work should not only be completed on time but should also include such an element that the people here would be able to go within the city and outside the city as well. Later, the provincial minister reached Malir Expressway and reviewed the ongoing work there. On this occasion, he said that this project is a wonderful project of Sindh government. He said that this project will start from Qayyumabad and go from Super Highway to Kathur and it will be a 39 km expressway. Saeed Ghani said that the work on this project is going on fast and the Sindh Chief Minister has given orders to open a part of it up to Quaidabad by August 14, 2024, while the rest of the expressway will be completed by June 2025. will be done. He said that I think this project will be a wonderful project for the citizens of Karachi and once this project is completed, the people of Karachi will be able to reach Kathor in half an hour. He said that our effort is to serve the citizens of Karachi as much as we can and make more plans for the people here. Later, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani reviewed the ongoing mega project in District Central. On this occasion, PPP Sindh General Secretary Senator Waqar Mehdi, District Central President Senator Syed Masroor Ahsan, General Secretary Dil Muhammad, Information Secretary Shahzad Majeed along with the mega project works in the District Central including Shahrah Noor Jahan, Karim Abad Underpass, Bakhtiari Youth Senator, Allama Rashid Turabi Road, UBL Sports Complex to Sakhi Hasan Chowrangi visited the ongoing mega project. Officials of all city areas, officials of sub-organizations, elected UC chairman councillors, candidates of national and provincial assembly and a large number of residents and residents were present on this occasion. Saeed Ghani instructed the Project Director Mega Project and other officers to open the projects which have been completed for public facilities, while expressing his anger over the slow pace of work on Karimabad Underpass and gave instructions. That the obstacles in the way of this project should be removed as soon as possible and completed so that the people do not face any kind of problem. The provincial minister also gave instructions to complete the sewerage and storm drains in the ongoing projects first.
