An important meeting regarding development works was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Local Government, Housing Town Planning and Public Health Engineering Sindh Saeed Ghani.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Syed Khalid Haider Shah, Project Director Malir Expressway Niaz Soomro, Project Director Mega Project Inside Sindh Abdul Ghani, DG KDA Shujaat Hussain and others.

In the meeting, a detailed briefing was given regarding the ongoing development works across Sindh, including Malir Expressway, Shariah Faisal.

PD Malir Expressway Niaz Soomro said that the work on Malir Expressway is going on fast and the 38 km long expressway will be completed by June 30, 2025 at a cost of 27 billion rupees.

The provincial minister found out the details regarding the expressway and said that our effort should be to start normal traffic at whichever of the 6 interchanges of the expressway is completed.

Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani also sought a report regarding 92 ongoing schemes under KDA, including the beautification scheme of shahrah-e-faisal.

DG KDA has informed that this scheme is for two years and now some more things have been added to this scheme in the meeting held with Chief Minister of Sindh, after which the revised scheme has been sent.

The provincial minister instructed the DG KDA to submit an urgent report on the projects which are delayed due to non-availability of funds and complete these projects within the current year.

The Provincial Minister also instructed the Project Director Mega Project to take steps to complete the ongoing projects on time.
