The formation of a new constitutional court is a great success: Saeed Ghani

Karachi (PR) Sindh Local Government Minister, Saeed Ghani, has said the Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has secured a major political achievement by developing a consensus among all the concerned political parties on constituting a new constitutional court in the country.
The Sindh Local Government Minister stated this on Sunday while speaking at a reception held here at a banquet hall to mark the inclusion of the entire body of the Pashtoon Quami Movement (PQM) in the PPP led by its Chairman, Dawood Jan.
Ghani said the formation of the new constitutional court was the fulfilment of the PPP’s manifesto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s plan.
He opined that no other political party in the country had a leader who could compete against the PPP Chairman. He said that Bilawal’s political vision and rising popularity in the country were unmatching. The Local Government Minister said that no other political party had such strength and broadmindedness to accommodate in its ranks people from all the ethnicities.
Answering a query from a media person on the occasion.
He told the audience at the reception that the PPP since its formation had always advocated the cause of transforming the lives of destitute people, labourers, farmers, and other oppressed sections in society.
He said that Karachi was like a mini-Pakistan as it had representation from all the communities in the country. He said that people from every religion, sect, ethnicity, and linguistic community lived in the city to earn a livelihood for their families and brighten the future of their children.
The Local Government Minister said that people from all communities in the city should show unity for the progress and development of Karachi and the rest of Pakistan. He informed the audience that people from all the ethnic communities in Karachi had been facing problems. He said that progress and development were necessary to resolve these problems. “It is impossible to achieve Karachi’s progress until we all show unity,” said Ghani.
He said that differences of opinion should be based on ideologies and issues, as personal likes and dislikes shouldn’t be based on the ethnicities of the people.
The Local Government Minister said that unfortunately, Karachi had been affected by such politics of hatred for the past 30 to 40 years. He lamented that in the past, watchmen, labourers, rickshaw drivers, and cobblers had been killed because of their affiliation to the Pakhtun community. He said the anti-peace elements had killed these persons without any personal enmity.
Ghani lamented that in the past people had been targeted and killed in Karachi because of their particular linguistic and communal affiliation.
He said the development of the city, province, and country wasn’t possible if the ethnic violence continued in Karachi unabated.
He said that thank God the politics of hatred had come to an end in Karachi after a long time, allowing people to conduct their political activities without any fear. Ghani said the PPP possessed the best capabilities to promote the cause of unity and development in Karachi.
