Brave Army Soldiers Deserve Respect From Nation: Syed Ghani

Karachi: Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani has said that the ongoing war against terrorists should succeed in the country as a pre-requisite for the success of other ongoing good efforts of the government to steer the country out of the crisis.
The Local Government Minister stated this on Friday while speaking during the Sindh Assembly’s session on the resolution presented in the house to condemn the recent terror attack on Jaffar Express in Balochistan. The Local Government Minister said that terrorism posed one of the biggest challenges to Pakistan.
He said the army officers and personnel fighting against terrorists were true heroes of the country who deserved the utmost respect from the nation for their bravery.
The Local Government Minister said that one shouldn’t forget the fundamental services of the armed forces, police, and paramilitary forces while objecting to some of their acts. He opined that every aspect and function of the national institutions, including the judiciary, were not praiseworthy, as there had been essentially shortcomings in the functioning of these state organs. He said the nation should also remember the selfless sacrifices being rendered by the brave soldiers who had been valiantly safeguarding their fellow citizens in the country. He said that no one should criticise or object to the vital national services being performed by the Pakistani armed forces in fighting terrorists in the country for the past few decades.
The Local Government Minister opined that maintenance of the law and order situation was one of the prerequisites for the progress of the country and resolving the basic issues of the countrymen. He viewed that criticising and using foul language against daring army men engaged in fighting terrorists in the country was a complete disservice to the country. Ghani said that personnel belonging to the army, police, and rangers always came to action whenever any terror incidents took place in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He recalled that the same sorrowful defamation campaign had been launched on social media when a helicopter engaged in flood relief work in Balochistan crashed, resulting in the martyrdom of army officers, including a serving general.
The Local Government Minister said the entire nation should extend unqualified and unreserved support to the army officers and personnel fighting against terrorists. He said the services and sacrifices of martyred personnel of the army, para-military forces, and police should always be praised to an extent that their fellow soldiers and family members had the fullest realization that the nation valued these selfless sacrifices. He said that false and undue propaganda by certain misguided elements unduly lowered the morale of the army personnel. He said that such elements who had been unduly criticizing the services and sacrifices of army personnel should be condemned as much as the terrorists were censured by the people. Ghani advised followers and leaders of the political parties to keep on praising the services and sacrifices of armed forces personnel while the bereaved family members of the fallen soldiers should be taken care of in the best possible manner.
