Karachi: In the year 2023, there were more than 213 police encounters with street criminals of Korangi Police. 470 street criminals including 271 robbers were injured in police encounter while 30 robbers were killed, arrested more than 7 thousand accused, 1750 fugitives and more than 101 advertised accused.
950 pistols, 1650 mobile phones and 590 motorcycles were recovered from the arrested street criminals.
Korangi police arrested the main suspects of the biggest theft of 6.35 lakhs of the year and recovered the money. In other operations, smuggled goods worth more than 8 crores, Indian gutka, foreign cigarettes and tobacco were recovered, also recovered more than 23 thousand kg of harmful gutka mawa during raids in the year 2023.
More than 335 kg hashish, 5 kg heroin powder, 3 kg ice and 350 bottles of liquor were recovered from drug dealers.
Korangi district police demolished hundreds of gambling dens and registered cases against the gamblers and sent them to jail.
