Pakistan Coast Guards Foil Drug Smuggling Attempts in Balochistan and Karachi
The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) have successfully carried out multiple intelligence-based operations against drug smuggling attempts in Balochistan and Karachi over the past month, seizing a large quantity of narcotics.
According to the PCG spokesperson, the operations—conducted on credible intelligence reports—resulted in the recovery of 140.65 kilograms of meth ice, 1,729.5 kilograms of hashish, 25.6 kilograms of marijuana, and 1.5 kilograms of opium.
The recovered narcotics have been taken into custody, and legal proceedings have been initiated. The total value of the seized drugs in the international market is estimated at approximately USD 136.528 million.
