While giving an exclusive interview to NNP, Eradicating crime is my top priority SHO Zahid Kamboh declared his unwavering commitment to eliminating all forms of crime from Karachi’s Soldier Bazaar area.
Having joined the Sindh Police as an ASI in 2002, he has served across various police stations including Aziz Bhatti, Orangi Town, and several others in Karachi and interior Sindh.
From ASI to SHO — A Journey of Dedication
SHO Zahid Kamboh shared that his career began with dedication and honesty:
“I was recruited as an ASI, and today through hard work and integrity, I proudly serve as the SHO.”
He explained that he and his team have successfully solved multiple criminal cases, including murder, attempted murder, robbery, theft, street crimes, and kidnapping for ransom.
“We investigate every case carefully and take legal action against those found guilty,” he added.

Crackdown on Criminal Elements
Discussing the decline in street crimes, SHO Zahid Kamboh emphasized that continuous police patrolling and round-the-clock surveillance have made a significant impact.
“We are on duty 24 hours a day. Our patrolling teams remain active to ensure citizens’ safety.”
He also highlighted a strict policy against drug dealers, stating that no criminal network is tolerated in Soldier Bazaar.
“My team has dismantled drug networks and continues taking firm action against such elements,” he said.
Police Funding and Operations
The officer explained that the police department receives annual funds used to enhance local operations, maintain equipment, and support personnel in performing their duties effectively.
Community Trust and Interfaith Harmony
Eradicating crime is my top priority SHO Zahid Kamboh stressed that public cooperation is key to maintaining peace.
“The people of Soldier Bazaar have old relations with me. We ensure complete security for Muharram processions, Rabi-ul-Awwal gatherings, and events of Ismaili, Christian, and Hindu communities,” he said.
He thanked the local residents and journalists for their trust and contribution:
“Journalist brothers play a major role in helping the police and raising awareness. Together, we can eliminate crime from society.”
