Fossil Energy and Malik Group Ink MoU to Develop EV Charging Stations Across Pakistan
A major milestone toward green energy transformation in Pakistan has been achieved as Fossil Energy & Petroleum and Malik Group of Companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations nationwide.
The signing ceremony, held in Karachi, was attended by Malik Khuda Baksh, Chairman of Malik Group of Companies, and Shehzad Mohsin, CEO of Fossil Energy, along with senior executives from both organizations.
Nationwide EV Charging Network Planned
Under the agreement, Malik Group of Companies will install EV charging infrastructure at all Fossil Energy & Petroleum fuel stations across Pakistan. The initiative marks a critical step toward building a nationwide EV charging network, aligning with Pakistan’s green mobility goals.
“This partnership reflects our vision to build an energy-resilient, smarter, and sustainable future for Pakistan,” said Malik Khuda Baksh during the ceremony.
He added that electric mobility adoption in Karachi and major cities is increasing rapidly, and projections indicate that over 30% of vehicles in Pakistan will be electric by 2030.
Partnership with Chinese Investors
Malik Khuda Baksh revealed that Malik Group, in collaboration with Chinese investors from ADM Group, has already started installing EV charging equipment in Sindh, and that this effort will now expand to Fossil Energy’s retail network.
“The signing of this MoU with Fossil Energy represents our commitment to accelerating Pakistan’s shift toward a green future,” he stated.
Fossil Energy’s Role in Sustainable Infrastructure
Shehzad Mohsin, CEO of Fossil Energy, commended the collaboration and reaffirmed the company’s mission to deliver comprehensive energy solutions to consumers through innovation and inclusivity.
“Together, Fossil Energy and Malik Group are creating a one-stop energy solution that integrates traditional fuels with EV charging stations across our network,” Mohsin said.
“This partnership paves the way for a smarter and sustainable Pakistan, where both conventional and electric mobility can coexist efficiently.”

The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both organizations, including Hassan Abbas, General Manager Fossil Energy; Saleem Chamdia, Chairman of Clover Pakistan Ltd.; Zahidullah Ghumman, COO Malik Enterprises; and Zeeshan Hanif, GM Malik Enterprises.
Both companies aim to combine their expertise in EV infrastructure and energy retail to develop a reliable, accessible, and future-ready EV charging ecosystem across the country.
