Ex-PM Imran Khan Sentenced

Imran Khan, Pakistan’s former Prime Minister, and his wife Bushra Bibi have been handed a 14-year jail sentence in a case related to the illegal sale of state gifts. The ruling, delivered by an accountability court in Rawalpindi that deals with corruption cases, also entails a 10-year ineligibility for both individuals to contest public office. Additionally, a fine of 787 million rupees ($2.8 million) has been imposed on each of them.
