Fazlur Rehman Leads Campaign

LAKKI MARWAT: As the polling day draws near, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl’s election campaign has intensified, with the party’s central chief, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, spending the second day in the district to garner voter support. Despite a specific security threat, Maulana Fazlur Rehman addressed a workers’ convention and a graduation ceremony at a seminary in Lakki city, with stringent security measures in place. The events saw a large turnout of JUI-F activists, local bodies’ members, and supporters of the Ahmadkhel family. During the workers’ convention, Maulana Fazlur Rehman emphasized the power of the ballot paper and urged people to use it wisely. He called on them to support the JUI-F’s struggle for Islamization through their votes, emphasizing that the party is engaged in an ideological war to preserve Islamic culture and norms. Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed concerns about assemblies being filled with individuals not interested in enforcing Islamic law and urged people to elect JUI-F candidates to prevent legislation against the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. He directed party workers to distribute the JUI-F manifesto to garner public support, expressing confidence in the party’s success in the upcoming general elections.
