FEVER ON THE HEAD
If a child has a fever on the head, it could be due to various reasons such as:
1. Infection: Fever is the body’s natural response to fight off infections, including common colds, flu, or other bacterial or viral infections.
2. Heat exposure: Being in a hot environment or excessive exposure to sunlight can cause the body temperature to rise, leading to a fever.
3. Teething: Some children may experience a slight increase in body temperature while teething, although this is usually mild.
4. Overdressing: Dressing a child too warmly, especially during sleep, can lead to an increase in body temperature.
5. Inflammatory conditions: Inflammation in the body due to conditions like autoimmune diseases or other inflammatory disorders can sometimes cause a fever.
It’s essential to monitor the child’s temperature, observe other symptoms, and consult a healthcare professional if the fever persists or is accompanied by other concerning symptoms.
