October 7, 2025 – Gaza City – The ongoing conflict in Gaza has now entered its 732nd day, with the humanitarian situation worsening by the day. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, over 67,000 people have lost their lives, including 20,000 children, and nearly 170,000 others have been injured since the conflict began on October 7, 2023.
Hospitals are under immense strain, with 25 out of 38 medical facilities out of service and a critical shortage of medicines and essential supplies. Reports indicate that only about 18% of Gaza remains unaffected by displacement orders or military operations, leaving the majority of residents in extremely vulnerable conditions.
Amid this crisis, international efforts to broker peace are ongoing. Indirect talks between Israel and Hamas resumed in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, with sources describing the discussions as “positive,” raising hopes for a potential ceasefire.
Global leaders are also engaging with the situation. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese voiced support for former U.S. President Donald Trump’s ceasefire proposal, emphasizing the need to revive efforts toward a two-state solution.
As the conflict drags on, the world watches closely, hoping that diplomatic efforts can bring relief to the millions affected and pave the way for peace in the region.
