Interest-Free Economy Pakistan: Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman Calls for Change
Interest-Free Economy Pakistan must be established to ensure sustainable and fair development, said Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, during a press conference in the provincial capital.
He declared that economic development is not possible under the interest-based system, stressing that Pakistan’s financial model must align with Islamic principles and constitutional justice.
“As long as the system of interest remains, the economy will not flourish,” said Hafiz Naeem. “We will pass an economic resolution at Minar-e-Pakistan to build a just and interest-free economy.”
Historic Gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan
The Jamaat-e-Islami chief announced that the upcoming Minar-e-Pakistan public gathering will be the largest in Pakistan’s history, spanning over 329 acres. The event will also mark the world’s biggest women’s gathering, with lawyers, students, and youth participating.
“If you want to see real democracy, look at Jamaat-e-Islami,” he said proudly.
“Our slogan ‘Badil Do Nizam’ (Change the System) is not just rhetoric—it’s our mission.”
The JI leadership will present a comprehensive economy resolution, focused on transforming Pakistan’s financial structure into a sustainable interest-free economy.
Interest-Free Economy Pakistan Requires Judicial and Educational Reform
Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman also addressed the judicial and educational systems, calling them outdated and unjust. He said that Pakistan’s judicial system is “rotting” and must be rebuilt from the ground up rather than patched.
“The current system serves the elite; we need a structure that gives equal justice to every citizen,” he asserted.
He further criticized the education system, where wealth determines access to quality learning.
“Education based on wealth divides the nation,” he said. “A fair, modern curriculum must be developed to build a strong Pakistan.”
Workers’ Rights and Abolishing Exploitative Systems
The Interest-Free Economy Pakistan movement, according to Hafiz Naeem, also includes a focus on labor rights and ending exploitative economic practices. He emphasized that labor laws fail to protect workers and that economic justice must replace inequality.
“Our economy resolution will be based on religion, the Constitution, and fairness,” he said. “The exploitative system must end to allow real progress.”
He also highlighted that 70% of Pakistan’s population consists of youth, making it essential to create opportunities through justice-based reforms.
Vision for a Just and Prosperous Pakistan
In his concluding remarks, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman reiterated that economic revival without moral and judicial reform is impossible. He called on the people to support Jamaat-e-Islami’s agenda to establish an interest-free economy in Pakistan that guarantees prosperity for all.
“We are determined to change the system, not patch it,” he concluded.
“Our mission is to make Pakistan a model of justice, equality, and growth.”
