And if 6 to 7 FIRs are filed against any builders, their passports should be confiscated And their NIC should be cancelled۔ No department can be empowered to play with anyone’s life on the basis of deficit. I do۔He expressed these views while addressing the budget meeting in the Sindh Assembly on Wednesday۔ Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani said that I am grateful for my leadership first and later for the people of my constituency that he has made the People’s Party successful for the third time from this constituency and this has never happened before۔ Saeed Ghani said that in this year’s budget, instead of any new scheme, the Sindh Chief Minister had said in his budget speech that the Sindh Chief Minister should complete all the ongoing schemes, but I specially the Chief Minister kept a single new scheme for the Hub Canal and He has allocated 12 billion rupees and said that if this scheme is completed this year, then this The entire allocation will also be done, this scheme is also for the people of Karachi۔ Saeed Ghani said that it is a pity that the friends of the opposition tried to give the impression in their address that no development work is being done in Karachi in this budget, it is completely tantamount to misleading the people۔ People’s Party has played its role to solve the problems of Karachi not only this year but for the past several years۔ He said that I call this impression of the opposition wrong۔ He said that even now 551 schemes of local government are going on in Karachi while 985 schemes of other ministries are going on in Karachi۔ Saeed Ghani said that 985 schemes cost 344 billion rupees, on which 76.8 billion rupees are being allocated this year, similarly 35 billion rupees are being released on 551 local government schemes۔ Saeed Ghani said that nothing is being kept for the mega project Karachi, more or less 42 billion rupees have been invested on the mega schemes of Karachi from 2016 to 2023-24, while this year also under the Karachi Mega Project. Sindh province’s first youth center, cricket and football stadium and gymnasium are being built in Bakhtiari Youth Center، Road work is being done in other districts including District Central, Korangi and today I say in this House that the Korangi Causeway bridge will be prepared and opened to the public within the next 8 months۔ Saeed Ghani said that development work worth 25.75 billion rupees has been done under KDA in Karachi in the last 3 years and work is going on on ongoing schemes worth billions of rupees this year as well۔ He said that Karachi city is the biggest city of Pakistan and we are proud that it is a city of Sindh province and we cannot leave Karachi under any circumstances۔ Saeed Ghani said that if our opposition friends who lamented the K4 project had read the budget and were aware of the Sindh government’s plan, they might not have had to moan۔ He said that in collaboration with the World Bank, there are 4 phases under the Karachi Water and Sewerage Improvement Program, after its first phase, the work of the second phase has started and 448 billion rupees on this project will be given to the people of Karachi only for water and sewage. The system is being installed for improvement and this loan is paid by the Sindh government to the World Bank۔is bound to do۔ He said that Imran Niazi’s ears were torn in the past Niazi government regarding the cost of the K4 project, saying that there was some corruption in it and by justifying it, he stopped working on this project۔ He said that Khan Sahib is the one who sank the ship of K4 project۔ Saeed Ghani said that the opposition members also shouted at the lack of water, while I have always admitted in the House that Karachi is facing a more than 50% reduction in supply compared to the demand for water۔ He said that during 3 months we have police, rangers and other law and order rehabilitation institutions۔Hundreds of illegal water hydrants have been demolished with help and this۔The series continues even today on a daily basis۔ He said that only 18 million gallons of water from 6 legal hydrants is being given in those areas where there is no water board network in Karachi, water is being delivered and even if it is closed, water in Karachi cannot be filled۔ Saeed Ghani said that under Click, 62 billion rupees are being spent across Sindh to modernize the local councils, property tax system and investment department, as well as garage transfers at a cost of Rs 30 billion under Swap. And all these are Karachi projects۔ He said that corruption in any institution does not end as soon as it is pinched۔ The DG of Sindh Building Control Authority has already given instructions on day one that zero compromise will be done on the construction of illegal buildings and so far in 3 months SBCA has demolished 357 illegal buildings and started it from my constituency. It has been done so that no one gets the impression that any personal action is being taken against anyone Is۔ He said that the mafia that builds illegal buildings is accompanied by the so-called dignitaries of the area, we have to stop them too۔ He said that we are amending the law in such a way that if an FIR is registered against the builder who built an illegal building and if 6 to 7 FIRs are registered against a builder, his passport will be confiscated and NIC will be confiscated. To be cancelled۔ Saeed Ghani said that in this budget, I am grateful to the Chief Minister of Sindh that he has allocated 160 billion rupees in place of 120 in the form of OZT share of councils and towns, which reached 80 billion last year and later 120 billion. was۔ I request the Chief Minister to increase the 160 billion by a little more, then we can save the salaries of all employees and the pension of retired employees۔ He said that in this year’s budget, the budget of the Union Council will be reduced to 10 lakh per month and the Union Committees will be reduced to 12 lakh rupees so that development work can be done there with the remaining amount after the salaries of the employees and the pension of the retired employees۔ Saeed Ghani said that 55 billion rupees out of 82 billion rupees will benefit the people of Karachi in this year’s health budget۔ Similarly, out of this year’s 28 billion rupees of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, 22 billion rupees will be spent on cleaning Karachi۔ Saeed Ghani said that in the past, we have suffered the most from the politics of division in this province۔ This division where this province has been damaged, but there have been law and order errors and mutual enmity۔ We have to think for the people beyond politics for the development of this province, the welfare of the people here and the solution of the problems۔ He said that in the past MQM politics did politics of division, now I hope that the current MQM thinking of Pakistan will bury this politics of Pakistan, leaving its leader for the survival of Pakistan۔ Saeed Ghani said that this year Karachi will spend Rs 218 on local government, Rs 143 billion on various grants and Rs 129 billion on green and yellow line, thus in the year 2024-25, 500 billion rupees will be spent only on the development works of Karachi and those who are not keeping funds for Karachi. They should refrain from anti-people۔He said that an authority has been formed for cemeteries in Karachi and land has also been found in two districts and now we do not have lands for cemeteries in the city, so we have requested the Chief Minister of Sindh to bring dead buses to the Sindh government so that the city People can easily get burial outside۔ He said that possible monsoon rains are predicted, the amount of rains that happened in Sindh last year was not normal, as a result of this rain, 2 million houses were flooded۔ If such a situation arises this year, we have to fight together, not stand on the side of the road and make a video and discourage those people who are on the streets for many days for water drainage۔ We have to work together to encourage them۔ He said that our interior minister has said that if loadshedding is responsible in the deaths due to extreme heat in Karachi in a few days, it has to be filed against FIRK Electric. Electric has no right to turn off electricity for 12 to 14 hours in the scorching heat۔ He said that no one should be allowed to play with people’s lives on the basis of loss۔
