KARACHI: Caretaker Minister of State for Tourism and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Syed Wasi Shah, urged youth to actively participate in the government’s efforts to mitigate the impacts of climate change. He addressed the closing ceremony of the Prime Minister’s Green Enovate Conference on liquid and solid Waste Management, organized by the Prime Minister Youth Programme Green Youth Movement (GYM) and Higher Education Commission Pakistan at IBA University Karachi. Wasi Shah highlighted that GYM is not only creating employment opportunities for the youth but also playing a crucial role in making the environment sustainable. He praised the youth participating in the conference for their ideas and determination, emphasizing that their efforts contribute to both the country and humanity.
The event brought together young innovators, industry experts, and government officials to discuss sustainable solutions. The event also featured a pitching session where young innovators presented their ideas on waste management. Director planning and development, HEC, Irfan ullah presented an overview of the overwhelming response to startup ideas for Green Enovate Solid and Liquid Waste Management and Green Youth movement Project.
