A Grand Success: Pathways British School Celebrates 15th Annual Sports Day

In a dazzling display of athleticism and school spirit, Pathways British School recently hosted its 15th Annual Sports Day on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Legends Arena, DA Zamzama Ground, DHA phase 5.

The event was a resounding success, marking another milestone in the school’s commitment to fostering physical activity, teamwork, and healthy competition.

The festivities kicked off with the resonating notes of the national anthem, creating a patriotic atmosphere that set the tone for the day. Following the anthem, Principal Waheeda Shoaib delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the significance of sports in education and encouraging students to give their best efforts.

A captivating group dance performance by talented students added a burst of energy, setting the stage for the much-anticipated PBS Festival of sports. The event commenced with a spectacular display – a flying banner accompanied by a cascade of balloons, symbolizing the grandeur of the occasion.

The sports extravaganza featured intense soccer and cricket matches, showcasing the competitive spirit and sportsmanship of the participants. The sports arena buzzed with excitement as students engaged in thrilling long jump, high jump, throw ball, flat races, and novelty races.

Medals and certificates were awarded to the outstanding performers, recognizing their dedication and achievements. The winners’ podium glittered with pride as students basked in the glory of their accomplishments, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The highlight of the event was a mesmerizing Taekwondo performance that captivated the audience. Students exhibited their martial arts skills with precision, breaking planks, executing high kicks, and delivering a dynamic group performance that left everyone in awe.

The grand finale was marked by Vice Principal Michael Pearson delivering a heartfelt speech. He expressed gratitude to the parents for their unwavering support and emphasized the importance of sports in shaping well-rounded individuals. The cheers and applause from the parents echoed the success of the event.
