Problems faced by the construction sector

KARACHI: The caretaker provincial minister for municipalities, housing, town planning and rehabilitation Sindh Muhammad Mubeen Jumani has said that a committee will be formed next week to solve the problems faced by the construction sector and the problems of Karachi, in which a member of Abad will be included. By the end of this month, all the towns of Karachi city will be digitized, out of 25 towns, 14 have been digitized.

The SBCA system has also been fully digitized. The process of digitization has led to the identification of 1200 such employees who used to work in 3/3 government departments simultaneously.

The system of lawlessness sank the ship and this system must be abolished. He expressed these views while addressing a function held at the central office of the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) on Saturday and later interacting with the media.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ramvir, SDM Sangrur Yashpal Sharma, Assistant Commissioner (UT) Devdarshdeep Singh, EO Ramesh Kumar, all local Congress leaders, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. The caretaker provincial minister Mubeen Jamani said that I have raised the problems of Abad in the Sindh cabinet meetings and informed the Sindh Chief Minister about the non-construction.

He said that many problems of Abad have been solved but there are legal complications in some things. He said he did not know how long the caretaker government would continue to solve the problems. He said the provision of reconfirmation of maps has been done away with. The caretaker minister said that I have also worked in the construction sector in America.

In the United States, construction is handled by the county, to this day, the county has never even had our tea. In other countries, issues are resolved quickly. We have to upgrade our institutions like other countries. He said the cost of construction has skyrocketed. which the government has no control. Mubeen Jamani said that the Old Town of Karachi is the Golden Town, hundreds of flats are built on a thousand yards. Addressing the ceremony, the caretaker Provincial Minister for Information and Minority Affairs Sindh Mohammad Ahmad Shah said that instead of Abad, thousands of acres of land are given to a single person at the government level, why not Abad. He said that the outline of our system is such that no work is done without corruption, the cases on which punishments are given in the outside world. On the contrary, awards are given in Pakistan and on which issues awards are given in the outside world. They are punished in Pakistan, revolutionary steps have to be taken to change this system.”” “It is our misfortune that the future of Pakistan is now hopelessly shifting out of the country.” Ahmad Shah said that not only money but also skilled youth have gone from our country. He said that it is necessary to provide facilities to the people, establish law and order and pay taxes in this country so that the country can move on the path of development. On the occasion, Patron-in-Chief of ABAD Mohsin Shekhani said that the people of the construction sector are engaged in only 20 per cent of the business and 80 per cent of the institutions accountable to the land mafia. Globally, the work of the construction sector is respected, while in Pakistan, the institutions do not allow legitimate work. Under these circumstances, how is it possible to invest in Pakistan from abroad, unfortunately, despite the claims, illegal construction in the city has not stopped. He said that the caretaker government has got the opportunity to take good decisions. The land digitization system is not working. Action should also be taken against officials if they do not work at the government level. Chairman of Abad Asif Sumsum said that 40 percent of the remittance inflow could be affected if the construction industry is not paid attention. There is a difference between settled members and contractors of street neighbourhoods. The builders who build illegal constructions in street neighbourhoods are not contractors. He said the caretaker government has done excellent work in a short span of time. The members of ABAD thanked both the Caretaker Ministers for resolving the issues. He said that for the development of the country, we have to digitize our economy. Speaking on the occasion, Senior Vice Chairman of ABAD Ibrahim S. Habib said that during the caretaker government, the ministers listened to our problems and most of these problems were done for which we are grateful to them.
