A rise in petroleum prices will result in a decline in exports and increase in unemployment.

President Site Association of Industry Kamran Arabi appealed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and said that businesses should take measures to reduce production costs, as it will become very difficult to run industries due to continuous increase in production costs. He said that the continuous increase in the prices of petroleum products will also put an additional financial burden on the public, the huge increase in electricity and gas rates has already affected the industrial activities to a great extent.
