Karachi: In view of the rains, the KMC and related agencies have made full preparations. In this regard, cleaning of drains and check points have been cleared.
Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that these are unprecedented rains in the month of March and these are the effects of global warming and climate change.

The concerned agencies including KMC Water Corporation Solid Waste Authority are on board. Leave of all staff in these departments has been cancelled. We are trying that the citizens do not have to face problems after the rain in the city.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also held a high-level meeting in this regard. In which also a strategy has been formulated with reference to rain. A state of emergency has been declared across the province.
Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that I assure that the municipal staff will be seen in the field during the rain. Citizens are also requested not to step out of their homes unnecessarily.
