Manghopir Town Launches Work to Resolve Khairabad Sewerage Issue

Practical measures have formally commenced to resolve the long-standing Khairabad Sewerage problem in UC-1 Mai Gari, Manghopir Town. Chairman Manghopir Town, Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, accompanied by members of the town administration and the concerned councillor, conducted an emergency visit to the area around Jamia Mosque in Khairabad, where he personally supervised the launch of cleaning and construction work aimed at addressing the drainage issue.

Khairabad Sewerage Work Officially Begins

During the visit, Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi inaugurated the cleaning and construction operations designed to resolve the area’s long-standing sewerage problem.

Speaking to media representatives, journalists, and local elders, he acknowledged that the area had faced years of neglect, resulting in considerable hardship for residents. He said the blockage of the main sewerage line near Jamia Mosque had caused stagnant wastewater to accumulate, creating difficulties for worshippers and local residents.

Chairman Reaffirms Commitment to Public Service

Addressing those present, Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi said maintaining cleanliness around places of worship and providing immediate relief to residents remain among his highest priorities.

He stated that public service is his primary mission and emphasized that he would continue monitoring public issues personally to ensure timely action. He also stressed that the administration would remain committed to resolving civic problems without delay.

Team Recognized for Prompt Action

The Chairman appreciated the efforts of the town administration, the concerned councillor, and his team for promptly identifying the issue and initiating work without unnecessary delay.

He directed all elected representatives and councillors to closely monitor public concerns within their respective areas, particularly those related to water supply and Khairabad Sewerage, warning that negligence in addressing civic issues would not be tolerated.

Infrastructure Rehabilitation Planned After Sewerage Resolution

Highlighting future development plans, Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi announced that infrastructure rehabilitation would begin after the permanent resolution of the Khairabad Sewerage issue.

The planned development includes the reconstruction and rehabilitation of damaged roads, paving of streets, installation of interlocking (Tuff) tiles, and the implementation of other long-pending development projects across Manghopir Town to improve living conditions for residents.

Residents Welcome Immediate Action

Local elders, youth, and residents welcomed the commencement of work and expressed appreciation for the prompt response by Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi and the town administration.

They said the area had remained neglected for years and described the Chairman’s direct involvement and swift action as a significant step toward resolving longstanding civic issues and improving public infrastructure in Manghopir Town.
