Rain Emergency Imposed in UC-14 Manghopir Town, Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi Leads Drainage Operation
Due to recent rainfall in Karachi, and keeping in view the public hardships in UC-14 of Manghopir Town, the Town Municipal Corporation Manghopir imposed a rain emergency and launched a comprehensive, coordinated, and effective operation for the cleaning of nullahs and drainage of rainwater.
The emergency operation was personally led by Chairman Manghopir Town Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, who remained present in the field till late night and stayed on site until the complete cleaning of nullahs and restoration of smooth water flow was ensured.
Chairman Conducts Field Inspections During Rainfall
During the rainfall, the Chairman conducted detailed inspections of various streets, roads, and low-lying areas. He personally supervised the removal of garbage, mud, and debris from nullahs through heavy machinery and ensured quality, speed, and continuity of work at every location.
He issued clear instructions that any negligence, delay, or carelessness in rainwater drainage would not be tolerated, and directed all officers and staff to remain present in the field until the work was fully completed.
Senior Officials Join Emergency Operation
On the occasion, Senior Vice President Pakistan Peoples Party District West Siddique Akbar, Municipal Commissioner Manghopir Town Ahmed Yar, Vice Chairman Manghopir Town Rana Muhammad Arif, along with other relevant town officers, were also present.
The officers briefed the Chairman on sanitation and drainage arrangements, while the Chairman issued immediate on-the-spot directives, identified multiple issues, and instructed the deployment of additional machinery and manpower to effectively deal with any emergency situation.
Public Safety and Relief Top Priority, Says Chairman
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Manghopir Town Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi stated that the safety, convenience, and relief of the residents of Manghopir Town are his top priorities.
He emphasized that he does not merely issue instructions from offices but personally remains in the field to ensure the completion of work. He further said that the public would not be left alone during the rains and that the town administration would remain on high alert 24 hours a day.
Situation Brought Under Control, Residents Appreciate Efforts
As a result of the rain emergency operation that continued till late night, rainwater flow was fully restored in different areas of UC-14, water was drained from low-lying localities, and the situation was brought under control.
Area residents appreciated the personal supervision, practical leadership, and continuous field presence of Chairman Manghopir Town Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, stating that such leadership is a true symbol of public trust.
