Drain Cleaning Operation in UC-14 Manghopir Town Under Supervision of Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi
Under the special directives and direct supervision of Chairman Manghopir Town Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, the cleaning work of the drain located in Union Council 14 is being carried out in a highly organized, coordinated, and effective manner.
The primary objective of this sanitation drive is to improve the drainage system of the area, enhance overall cleanliness, and protect citizens from potential environmental and health hazards.
Removal of Accumulated Waste to Restore Water Flow
During the cleaning operation, a large quantity of accumulated garbage, mud, plastic waste, household refuse, and other polluted materials is being removed, which had been obstructing the smooth flow of water in the drain for a long time.
In accordance with the clear instructions of the Chairman, all waste removed from the drain is being immediately collected and transported to designated dumping sites through vehicles of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board to prevent the spread of filth, foul odor, or environmental pollution in the area.
Permanent Sanitation Solutions Top Priority, Says Chairman
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Manghopir Town Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi stated that providing a permanent solution to sanitation and drainage issues in Manghopir Town is his top priority.
He emphasized that the lack of timely and proper cleaning of drains leads to serious problems during the rainy season, including waterlogging, road damage, and the spread of diseases. To prevent such issues, the Town Administration and the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board are jointly taking practical and effective measures.
No Negligence to Be Tolerated During Operation
The Chairman further stated that no negligence, carelessness, or laxity will be tolerated during the cleaning operation.
Relevant officers, supervisory staff, and sanitation workers remain present in the field to closely monitor the work, ensuring that the cleaning process is completed transparently, efficiently, and in accordance with approved standards.
Coordination Praised, Public Cooperation Urged
Chairman Manghopir Town appreciated the performance of the officers and staff of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, stating that sustainable solutions to civic issues can only be achieved through strong inter-institutional coordination.
He also appealed to the public to refrain from throwing garbage into drains and to fully cooperate with the Town Administration in maintaining cleanliness.

Residents of Union Council 14 welcomed the drain cleaning operation, timely removal of waste, and the joint efforts of the Town Administration and the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board.

According to the Town Municipal Corporation Manghopir, the ongoing sanitation drive will be extended in phases to other Union Councils of Manghopir Town to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment throughout the town.
