Iranian Public Resolve Strengthens National Defence Amid War Pressure

Iran’s government has stated that the continued presence of citizens on the streets has become a powerful source of strength for the country’s diplomatic and defence institutions as Tehran faces mounting pressure from the United States and Israel.
Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani, speaking on Iran’s national broadcaster, praised the Iranian people for their support of the government and armed forces during what she described as an unlawful war jointly launched by the United States and the Zionist regime.
Mohajerani said that public participation was not merely symbolic but had become a significant factor in safeguarding Iran’s sovereignty and national interests. According to her, widespread public support has strengthened the morale of both the diplomatic team and the country’s defence establishment at a critical time.
Describing the people’s presence as “the fuel for Iranian missiles,” she said that the management of the Strait of Hormuz and diplomatic negotiations aimed at ending the imposed war were being pursued simultaneously. She stressed that national unity was reinforcing Iran’s position both on the battlefield and at the negotiating table.
The spokesperson warned that the threat of war had not completely disappeared and emphasized that Iran’s armed forces remained on high alert. She added that diplomatic efforts led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi were continuing with a clear focus on protecting Iran’s sovereignty and national interests.
Addressing economic concerns, Mohajerani said the government had taken extensive measures to stabilize markets, maintain essential supplies, and prevent shortages despite external pressures and disruptions.
Observers say Tehran is seeking to project resilience and national unity amid regional tensions, presenting public support, military readiness, and diplomacy as key pillars of its response to ongoing challenges. Iran maintains that lasting peace can only be achieved through respect for sovereignty, protection of civilians, and meaningful diplomatic engagement.
