Pakistan and China have signed two important agreements aimed at strengthening Media Cooperation between the two countries during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s official visit to Beijing.
The agreements were signed in the presence of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Premier Li Qiang as part of celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
Media Cooperation Agreements Signed
Among several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) exchanged during the visit, two focused specifically on Media Cooperation.
The first agreement was signed between Xinhua News Agency and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation to enhance collaboration in the media sector.
A second MoU was signed between China Media Group and Pakistan Television, focusing on cooperation in the joint production of documentaries.
Officials said the agreements are intended to strengthen media exchanges and promote greater understanding between the people of both countries.
Broader Cooperation Across Multiple Sectors
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the newly signed agreements are part of broader efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors.
The cooperation framework covers trade, investment, agriculture, education, science and technology, media, and people-to-people exchanges.
Officials described the agreements as another step toward strengthening the longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.
Education and Skills Development Agreements Signed in Hangzhou
In addition to the agreements signed in Beijing, another series of cooperation documents was finalized in Hangzhou.
Pakistani and Chinese institutions signed 20 memorandums of understanding focusing on education, vocational training, and digital skills development.
The agreements were concluded during the China-Pakistan International TVET-Industrial Cooperation and Exchange Seminar, which brought together government officials, educational institutions, industry representatives, and technical training experts from both countries.
Strengthening Pakistan-China Partnership
The latest agreements highlight ongoing efforts by both nations to expand collaboration beyond traditional economic and infrastructure projects.
Officials believe enhanced Media Cooperation, educational partnerships, and skills development initiatives will further strengthen bilateral ties and create new opportunities for cultural exchange and professional development.
As Pakistan and China celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations, both countries continue to explore new avenues for cooperation aimed at supporting long-term mutual growth and connectivity.
