The Pakistan Economic Summit has been hailed as a landmark initiative for the country’s economic future, with former Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Tariq Haleem, congratulating FPCCI Patron-in-Chief S.M. He proposed transforming it into a permanent national economic movement by hosting future editions in major industrial and commercial centres, including Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Multan, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Peshawar, Quetta, and Islamabad.
According to him, expanding the summit across Pakistan would help showcase the industrial strength, export potential, investment opportunities, and economic capabilities of every region.
Strengthening Economic Coordination and Investment
Tariq Haleem said organising the Pakistan Economic Summit in different regions would improve coordination between the federal and provincial governments, business organisations, the private sector, and investors.
He added that such forums would help promote local industries, increase exports, attract new investment, and create employment opportunities while encouraging stronger collaboration among economic stakeholders.
